Do you want to study in Canada? Here’s some assistance!
The Canadian government offers Indian students the opportunity to study in the country, but you must first obtain a Study Permit and a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV).
What exactly is a study permit?
This is not a visa; rather, it is a permit or document issued by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) that allows you to study in Canada. If you have a study permit, you must stay enrolled in your course and make reasonable and timely progress toward completion.
A visitor visa or Electronic Travel Authorization is always required in addition to your study permit (ETA). Please keep in mind that a study permit allows you to study in Canada, whereas a visitor visa or ETA allows you to enter the country. Your counsellor will assist you in obtaining the most up-to-date information and will put you in touch with authorized migration experts.

Indian students applying to universities and colleges in Canada can now expect faster visa processing thanks to the Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada’s Study Direct Stream (SDS) programme. Unlike traditional visa processing, which can take up to 2-3 months, SDS allows Indian students to obtain their visa in 4-6 weeks. However, if you choose to apply through SDS, you may be required to provide additional documentation. Don’t worry, your IDP counsellor can easily guide you in this regard.
